On long-scale baritone guitars that accentuate his unique harmonic vocabulary, guitarist-composer Elliot Freedman is recognized nationally for his creativity and dynamism. Here playing in a dynamic quintet with vibraphonist Nick Apivor, pianist Dan Reynolds, bassist Dan Howard, and drummer Paul Mason, he presents a different, non-canonical jazz event of tuneful compositions. With complex harmonies and lyrical melodies, this is sure to provide an evening of memorable entertainment, or as the Guitar Player has noted; “Very, very good avant fusion”.
